Cheers To All That 2022 Was & What 2023 Will Be!
As the final days of 2022 wrap up, I am sure your social media feeds are being filled with highlight reels showcasing how happy and successful 2022 was for everyone. In the spirit of doing something a little more refreshing, here's what I set out to accomplish in 2022, but didn't:
- Hire an assistant
- Sell 62 homes (this was a lofty goal but was really based on the idea that I would hire an assistant)
- Buy another investment property
- Renovate and add a powder bath to my main floor
- Get my siding and roof replaced
- Read 15 books
- Go hiking in AZ
- Attend a wellness retreat
- Host 15 dinner parties
By comparison, here's what I did accomplish:
- Helped 32 families make a move :)
- Was featured in the Twin Cities Real Producer Magazine as: Realtor on the Rise
- Voted "2022 Best Realtor" by both the communities of MN Bride & Twin Cities Collective (THANK YOU to any and all who voted for me! I am always so thankful for your support)
- Spoke on my first panel & my first podcast interview
- Held 2 successful client events
- Nominated by the Twin Cities Real Producer Magazine for their 2022 awards for: New Energy Award & the Ultimate Connector Award. (This one is exciting & different because other Realtors had to vote!)
- Traveled to Europe
- Attended 8 weddings (and had a blast celebrating their love!)
- Read 7 books
- Renovated my basement and the exterior landscape while also adding personal touches throughout my home
- Picked up a meditation & journaling practice
- Focused on quality time with friends and family
- Laughed a lot
- Learned I am capable of "figuring it out" (there is always a solution!)
What this has taught me is that sometimes the goals you made in January don't reflect what you want anymore, and that values can change...and that is so okay! I hope that, as you spend time reflecting on your own year, you can see the silver lining to everything unexpected that showed up during the course of 2022. I know that as I make plans for 2023, I'm happily leaving a lot of space for pivots and change.
That being said...
Here's what you can for sure expect from PGH in 2023:
- A hire!! It is the year! I have to! *face palm*
- Partnering with a real estate team in Louisville that focuses solely on real estate investing across the US
- Serving 66 families to buy or sell in 2023
- Better systems across all PGH platforms
- 4 client events
- Higher quality educational video content
The market update: We are expecting interest rates to come down and buyers to hop back in. I expect this spring market to be fiercer competition than we have seen this fall and winter, with higher quality inventory. This is a win-win for both buyers and sellers! That said, 70% of Americans are locked in with a sub 4% interest rate, so there will be fewer homes hitting the market than we saw in 2021-2022. The market will likely reflect the kind of inventory we saw in 2019.
Of course - if you ever have market questions, or specific questions to your own move or property, please reach out! Happy to always hop on a call with you!
Cheers to all that 2022 was & all that 2023 will be.
See you in the new year!
